The Nigerian Former Legislators Forum (NFLF) held its maiden gathering in Enugu State on May 3rd, attracting prominent former lawmakers from across the country. The event, convened by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, brought together esteemed individuals
The association was convened by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, where many high-profile former lawmakers from the National Assembly, State Houses of Assembly, and Local Government Legislative Assemblies across the federation was in attendance. Among them were former Presidents of the Senate, Ken Nnamani and Anyim Pius Anyim; former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, H.E Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha and Governor of Enugu State Dr Peter Mbah among others.
The NFLF’s maiden gathering provided a platform for former lawmakers to share experiences, discuss pressing issues, and potentially contribute to Nigeria’s development.
The event showcased the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing among experienced leaders.
